How Do You Prevent Poverty in Haiti?

Updated: Oct 27, 2022

HowToPreventPoverty

It’s officially summer in Haiti, but the coming school year is already on our minds. Unlike the United States, Haitians have to pay to receive an education. It doesn’t matter if it’s a “public” or Christian school, Haitians have to pay to learn.

Right now there are just under 200 children in our village, Merci’ de Dieu and, thanks to God, over 40 of those children have received school sponsorships from generous donors like you. Forty is a great start, but 200 would be even better!

I don’t think there is a better way to prevent the next generation from continuing to be part of the poorest of the poor than by educating them.  Education will give them a hope and a future like nothing else and it can be done for just $25.00 per month or $300.00 annually.  Can you help us with one or more children?

Please go to our web site: MercyIntl.org and set up your sponsorship or mail it directly to:

Mercy International, Inc.

100 West Hosack

Boerne, Texas 78006

We will assign a child to you and send you their picture and a short bio on their life and how they survived the earthquake of 2010 and then suffered through four years in a tarp city. By doing so, you will help save a child that has suffered so much, from continuing in a life of poverty.

Thank you, thank you for your help.
