The Good News and the Bad News

Updated: Oct 27, 2022

I have good news and bad news, as the saying goes. As I arrived in Haiti to build eight more homes for very poor families living in tent cities, I thought that we were down to our last fifteen lots so the project would be finished with one more trip after this one.

The good news and bad news is that by redesigning our roads and remaining lots we actually have at least another twenty-three lots. It is good because we will be able to offer at least eight more families a home away from the awful conditions they are living in now. It is bad news because we have no funds for the homes and must fund raise in an attempt to obtain the needed amount.

Please visit Mercy’s website (MercyIntl.org) and, if the Lord leads, help us in any way you can.

Together we can help these families who are still living under tarps three and a half years after the earthquake.

Mercy International was started with a heart for all the people in Haiti. We do as much as we can to create new opportunities for those living in the poorest parts of Haiti. We have been able to, with the help of people all over the world, build three villages that house, feed, and educate nearly 700 people in Haiti.
